Friday 22 April, 11am – 5pm

REGISTRATION

Registration will be at the Pavilion on Northbourne Hotel which will be the headquarters for the 42nd Jaguar National Rally.  The Hotel is located on Northbourne Avenue, the main road into Canberra and is only 2 km from the city centre.

Take time out in the garden atrium café or bar to catch up with friends.
 

Friday 22 April, 7pm – 9pm 

WELCOME RECEPTION - FULLY BOOKED

Meet up with other Rally participants and enjoy drinks and finger food at the cocktail reception in the garden atrium of the Pavilion Hotel.  This is the first major rally event and is an opportunity to renew old acquaintances and to make new ones.
 

Saturday 23 April, 8am

CALVALCADE

Join with other Jaguar enthusiasts and participate in the cavalcade of Jaguar and Daimler cars travelling to the Concours and Display day venue beside Lake Burley Griffin.  The cavalcade will depart from the Pavilion Hotel.

LENNOCK JAGUAR CONCOURS & DISPLAY DAY

The shady lawns near the National Library in the Parliamentary triangle will be the location for this premier event.  A focus of the day will be the 50th anniversary of the first public appearance of the E Type Jaguar.  During the day participants can also take a choice of visiting nearby institutions such as the National Gallery, National Library, National Archives, Old Parliament House or the National Portrait Gallery - all within a ten-minute walk.

Saturday 23 April, 7pm – 12 midnight

SWINGING SIXTIES REVIVAL - FULLY BOOKED

As part of the E Type 50th anniversary celebrations, join in for a trip down memory lane with the sights and sounds of the sixties.  We will be enjoying the exclusive surrounds of the Federal Golf Club for dinner and drinks, the sounds of sixties music and the sights of a special display of E Type Jaguars to complete the occasion.
 

Sunday 24 April, 9am – 3.30pm
(scrutineering for entrants at 7.30am)

SPORTING EVENT

A regularity run and hill climb is planned at the nearby Sutton Road motor sport complex (between Canberra and Queanbeyan).  This event will be a CAMS registered event and will enable all participants and spectators to have a great day enjoying the Jaguar marque.  It is expected that there will be a good turnout of E Type Jaguars on the day.

ALTERNATIVE ACTIVITIES

The Canberra region boasts about 40 boutique cool climate wineries.  Those Rally participants seeking something different for this day will have a chance to visit some of these during the alternative program of self-drive activities following food and wine trails around the nearby region.  More...
 

Sunday 24 April, 7.30pm – 12 midnight

BLACKSHAW'S PRESENTATION DINNER - FULLY BOOKED

This will be the formal event to highlight the Rally and to award trophies to winners of the various weekend events.  In addition, there will be an auction of a rare print personally signed by 1950’s Jaguar Le Mans notables.  This large and dramatic racing print is sure to attract strong interest.  The venue will be the historic art deco Hyatt Hotel Canberra and an evening of friendship, fine food and wine is in prospect.

Monday 25 April, from 11am

FAREWELL BRUNCH

This is ANZAC day and for early risers the Dawn Service at the Australian War Memorial starts at 5.30 am. For everyone else, a brunch at the Pavilion Hotel will be held to farewell friends.

POST RALLY 'AUTUMN WALKABOUT' TOUR

The Post Rally 'Autumn Walkabout' will take you south from Canberra along the wonderful driving roads and scenery of the Snowy Mountains and then west and north onto the southwest slopes of the Great Dividing Range.  The tour will depart from the Pavilion Hotel after brunch.

The itinerary will include two nights in Thredbo, a traverse of the mountains via a scenic route to Tumut and then a meander westwards and north through some of Australia’s pioneering and historic settlements to enjoy the natural, cultural and other man-made attractions of the rolling countryside west of Canberra.  The 'Autumn Walkabout' will finish with a farewell dinner in Cootamundra on Friday night with participants departing for their return journey home on Saturday morning.  This will be a leisurely and low-key tour with easy driving distances.
