Concludes: After breakfast, Saturday 30 April in Cootamundra, NSW, allowing easy access to major roads for return journeys to the north, south, east and west.

From Canberra to Cootamundra the planned route covers approximately 900km.

Highlights include:

  •  wonderful driving roads

  •  spectacular autumn mountain & valley scenery

  •  guided tour of amazing caves (accessible for all levels of fitness & ability)

  •  a town that boasts of its “wowsers, bowsers and peppercorn trees”

  •  a ‘haunted house’

  •  the chance to walk in the mountains, or play golf or tennis, and

  •  a few surprises along the way!

You will stay for 2 nights in Thredbo, 1 in Tumut and 2 in Cootamundra. The ‘Autumn Walkabout’ has been planned to take you along “less travelled” bitumen roads. However, there is 1 short section of well-maintained gravel road included.  You will travel through Cooma, Dalgety, Jindabyne, Thredbo, Khancoban, Cabramurra, Tumut, Junee, Cootamundra and Temora.

While a variety of visits have been organised, some ‘free’ time has also been included to allow you to explore your interests at leisure, including the option of golf in Thredbo and on the Saturday morning in Cootamundra if you wish.

Cost:

The cost of the Tour includes all accommodation, breakfasts, lunches (including 2 picnic lunches) and dinners. Generally, alcohol will be at your expense, but with pre-dinner drinks provided on the first and final nights.  Fees for all organised visits are included in your registration.

Cost: $1,800 per double or $1,200 per individual registration.

Entry for each car into the Kosciusko National Park for the stay at Thredbo is NOT included in your registration fee. Daily rates in 2010 are $16.00 per car per 24 hour period, giving a fee of $32 to be paid per car on entry to the Park. This charge has not been included as some participants may already hold Park passes, and they are car-specific. Visit www.environment.nsw.gov.au for further information.

Any other attractions you choose, morning and afternoon teas and any additional services at our accommodation are to be paid for individually.

Following receipt of your registration for the rally, you will be contacted for your accommodation and food preferences, and with additional information.
